CAMPUS 56
Campus 56 is a two-building, ~58,000 SF project situated amidst Los Angeles’s Westside media, entertainment, and technology cluster centered on Culver City, Playa Vista, and Fox Hills. The 1.69-acre campus comprises office and high-ceiling flex space suitable for a range of media, studio, and creative office purposes. The property’s location offers easy access to major transportation routes, including the 405 Freeway and La Cienega Boulevard, and is served by a multitude of nearby entertainment, food, and life-style amenities.
PROJECT
In connection with the redevelopment of Campus 56 into a vibrant workplace environment, I provided art direction for an Henri Matisse-inspired outdoor wall mural at the project’s 5600 Building. After ideating the design, I collaborated with muralist Michael Hamel to finalize the mural’s composition and hand-select paints in a bright and cheerful palette consistent with LA’s reputation as a colorful and buzzing metropolis. The finished artwork looks fantastic.
I developed contemporary design schemes for the property’s 5650 Building lobby, high-ceiling market-ready pantry, and adjacent courtyard. I thoughtfully curated timeless furnishings in a cohesive finish palette—predominantly sage green, white, and light oak—to create an airy and inviting atmosphere, consistent with the architect’s vision and design intent for the project. I love being part of the team that creates inspiring spaces for people to enjoy while they work and it’s always rewarding to participate in this stage of the design process.
I also developed unified signage design concepts for Campus 56’s exterior address ID and wayfinding signs. To further aid in the leasing effort, I shot and produced a marketing video showcasing the redeveloped campus, oversaw the property’s marketing collateral and website design, and provided end-to-end event management for a March Madness-themed open house designed to generate excitement and buzz about the project amongst LA’s top brokers. With onsite barbecue, valet parking, Pop-A-Shot arcade basketball, branded party packs, NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament brackets, and raffle prizes for guests, the Campus 56 broker event was a slam dunk.
